Mr Foster Akaketwa   | Chief Information Officer

Chief Information Officer BBSCT(UZ), MBA (UZ), PMP, ITIL Foster was appointed Chief Information Officer for the group effective 1 January 2021. Prior to his current role, he served as the business’ Group IT Manager from January 2014 where he oversaw the running of the group ICT infrastructure department.  

Foster is an experienced information technology professional with extensive knowledge in the formulation and implementation of digital transformation strategies, innovation, data analytics and professional project management spanning insurance and banking industries. He has been instrumental in the conceptualization and rollout of key software platforms and ICT infrastructure at Cimas. He is passionate about delivering business value through digital technology.  

Foster holds Bachelor of Business Studies and Computing Science (BBSCT) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Zimbabwe. Foster is a certified and registered Project Management Professional (PMP) and an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
